Hymm to the Infinite Sky

Salute to Mr Kobayashi and his excellent way of educating the children and bringing out the best in them.

I went to NUSWS's concert on Saturday.. I have regretted that I am not in band. Anyone wants to join outside band please tell me so that I can join with you.

One of the pieces I had really appreciated was "Hymm to the Infinite Sky". Partly because NUSWS played quite well =) and secondly the meaning behind the composition was really great. It was composed in May 2003 and was commisioned by Niihama Primary School, Ichikawa City. It represents the sky's internal sprit rather than descining it directly. The composer, Satoshi Yagisawa, recalled what Shinichiro Tagawa (conductor of the school band) had told him, and tried carefully to reflect his wish in the music. Tagawa said, " The sky has to be a symbol of peace. However, there is sky where combat planes are flying when children look up. This is very sad. I wish there would be no more conflict on the earth. I hope that children all over the world will hold on to their dreams toward the sky. I pray to the infinite sky for world peace.".

I pray for world peace too..
